Chop Idol

Date Added: 2009-02-26

If, like me, you love all the reality TV shows and fly-on-the-wall documentaries then you will be excited by news that BBC Three is producing a new programme focusing on British hairdressers and young, unsung talent.

Yes, major names are already on our screens flying their flag for the industry - I am loving the new format of Ten Years Younger with Andrew Barton and Lisa Shepherd - but now is the opportunity for some fresh blood! The BBC Three show is already being dubbed "Chop Idol" and will feature young talented hairdressers across the country.

So currently calling all Pop Idol wannabes!  The search is now on for an ambitious and dynamic industry talent. The BBC is looking for someone who can be a true ambassador for the trade, aged 16-25  - but most importantly you have to be up for a challenge and desperate to show the world your skills.

If you are interested email youngtalent@bbc.co.uk before March 6th.
