Date Added: 2010-03-04

About this gallery:

The HABB Ball celebrated the charity work and achievements in the hair and beauty industry. Held at the London's Hilton Hotel, last month, the evening saw a mixture of entertainment and awards.

The Outstanding Courage Award was presented to Natasha Nissan of The Chapel in Tunbridge Wells by John Frieda.

Salon owner Lisa Schwarz was awarded The Compassionate Caring Award for those who help others by Anthony Mascolo.

Ben Dellicompagni was given The President's Award for a salon or individual who has shown exceptional support of HABB after raising more than £5,000 by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro.

The Outstanding Achievement Award for an individual who has either helped to raise awareness or money for a cause, was presented to Tony Rizzo or Sanrizz. Founder of the Alternative Hair Show, Tony has helped to raise more than £7million for Leukaemia Research.

After the awards presentation the HABB band took to the stage featuring the talents of Tim Avory on Drums; Tom McCarthy on Bass Guitar; Paul Savage on Guitar and Agatha on Rhythm Guitar with Steve Braithwaite's vocals rocked the room.

Balmain's key account manager, David Jelley, followed by Lucie Seffens from Toni & Guy who 'wowed' the crowd with a soulful set.

Quintent Sabrina Thompson, Shivonne Simpson, Beverlyn McKinson, Shree-Ann Miller and Veree Miller performed a set of modern classics.

Finally it was over to TIGI's European creative director, Nick Irwin who took to the decks with an upbeat DJ set.
