Caroline Charles, hair by Jonny Engstrom and the L'Oréal Professionnel Portfolio team

About this gallery:

Caroline Charles showed on the opening day of LFW at the BFC Tents, Somerset House to a packed house complete with Boris Johnson, Mayor of London in the front row.  Her upbeat, colourful and fun spring collection featured flip dresses in floaty fabrics, slimline three quarter length pants, printed silk shifts with bright tropical florals. L’Oréal Professionnel invited Jonny Engstrom & the L’Oréal Professionnel Portfolio team (featuring Yesmin O'Brein (Sean Hanna), Steve Carr (Jo Hansford) Claire Mariscal (Greys Hairdressing),  Ben Randle, Mark Caswell, & Darren Joshua (Umberto Gianniini)) to style the hair for the show.  The brief was for soft waves with a 1940’s feel for a decadent modern look. The hair was prepped and dried, then tonged from the nap to the forehead and set in heated rollers.

Krystof Strozyna SS 2010 collection features short fitted dresses with geometric panels and origami tailoring in a palatte of contrasting soft greys, cream, yellows and orange. The hair, by Herman Ho and the Headmasters team was slicked back and worn loose at the back.

L'Oréal Professionnel was the official Hair Sponsor for On | Off and arranged teams from the L’Oréal Professionnel Portfolio to style the hair on the following catwalk shows: Joanna Vanderpuije, Michela Carraro, Yang Du and Prose Studio. Hairstyles, created by Herman Ho and the Headmasters team, were centre parted into low loose pony tails with the hair brushed back over the ears. A Jerry Hall inspired look of swept back hair in a wet look with natural texture at the back. Also on show were high slick glossy ponytail, very straight clean lines and hair that was swept up into a high asymmetrical bun, slightly to one side.

One of India's foremost fashion design teams, Falguny & Shane Peacock's collection was a mix of exquisitely printed silk dresses and bold graphics, which was incorporated into their fresh, young look of pin curls brushed out into natural waves for a modern feel and created by Nick Williams and the John Jenkins team.

Richard Sorger's couture handmade dresses with set off with damp hair which was secured into three bands. The look, created by Darren Fowler and the Clipso team, was finished with gold spray at the crown for a metallic glow.

Inspired by the romance of the Far East and his homeland Malaysia, Bernard Chandran's collection features a strong palette of earthy tones of bronze and golds. The hair by Darren Fowler and the Clipso team, was given a dripping, patent, wet look, which was slicked back into a ponytail and twisted into a flat bun at the back.

Charlotta Gherzi's designs for SADO were all about softness and sensuality. The hair, by Herman Ho and the Headmasters team, was back brushed up to create an off centre ponytail and pined into a bun.

Orschel Read saw a 40's style army prep meets Soul Assylum look created for the hair by Mark Woolley and the Electric team. The menswear collection featured wearable trench loads and leather jackets.
