New Fashion College Opens

Date Added: 2010-07-22

A brand new college, spearheaded by fashion industry heavyweights, will be opened in September. The London College of Style in west London will offer a fashion styling course creatied specifically for the hairdressing industry.

The college was co-founded by Wendy Elsemore, celebrity stylist and fashion expert and international model and fashion expert Kate Smith. Lecturers will also include some of the best in the industry including celebrity hairdressers Jason Smith and Tony Cullen.

The foundation fashion styling course has been designed so hairdressing salons can train staff and art teams to be expert in-house stylists for photo shoots, marketing campaigns, trade shows and competitions.

“The hairdressing profession needs a specific approach to styling and we based the course on our in-depth understanding of the industry and how it works in synergy with fashion styling,” said Wendy Elsmore, “our objective is to train staff to understand how hairdressing works in conjunction with fashion styling, be in-tune with their brand and interpret it visually.”
