Blonde Trends for SS26

Healthy, Expensive-Looking Colour Takes Centre Stage.

Healthy hair is officially shaping the future of blonde for SS26, according to blonde specialist Cassie Clenshaw, as clients move away from over-processed colour in favour of softer, more luxurious-looking results.

“Clients still want to be blonde, but not at the expense of their hair health. The new luxury blonde is all about shine, softness and condition. Hair should look healthy first, with colour enhancing the natural base rather than masking it.”

Blonde Trends 2026

Are blondes big business? For 2026, blonde trends are becoming more wearable, dimensional and low maintenance, with softer contrast and seamless blends replacing harsh regrowth lines and solid lightness. The focus is on creating colour that grows out beautifully and still looks polished months later.

Old Money Blonde

Leading the trend are premium-looking shades such as “Old Money Blonde” and “Suede Blonde”, combining ribbons of beige, honey and creamy neutral blondes for movement, depth and a more elevated finish.

“The demand now is for expensive-looking blondes that feel effortless. Clients want dimension and softness rather than flat, overly bright colour. It’s about creating blonde that catches the light beautifully and feels modern and wearable.”

While cool icy blondes have dominated recent years, Cassie says warmer, softer tones are now taking over. You can upskill your blonde game with Schwarzkopf Professional’s BlondMe Essentials – The Art of Perfect Blondes.

Shift Towards Neutrals

Cassie explains that heavily ashed blondes are starting to fade out and that we’re seeing a real shift towards buttery vanilla blondes, creamy champagnes and softer neutral tones. These shades reflect light better, make the hair appear healthier and give a much more radiant finish.

Technique is evolving alongside the trend, with many colourists moving towards ‘no-toner blondes’, where achieving a clean lift during the lightening process is key.

“It’s less about correcting the colour afterwards and more about precise foiling, controlled lifting and strategic placement from the beginning. The result feels softer, cleaner and more natural, never overworked.”

Minimum Upkeep

Low-maintenance colour is also becoming increasingly important as clients look for luxury results that fit around busy lifestyles.

“Clients still want high-end blonde, but they don’t necessarily want to be in the salon every few weeks. Lived-in roots, diffused blends and dimensional placement allow blondes to grow out beautifully while still looking intentional.”

For SS26, the modern blonde is less about perfection and more about polished, healthy-looking colour with longevity.

The ultimate goal is blonde hair that looks effortless, expensive and healthy from every angle. JOICO Blonde Life Demi Gloss Toners deliver sun-kissed golden blondes, infusing pre-lightened locks with a warm golden reflection, whilst adding shine and condition.
