It’s the first European salon for the JOICO Global Brand Ambassador.
Published:Never one to play it safe, Larisa Love is expanding her professional presence across the Atlantic with the opening of her new salon in Amsterdam. While continuing to maintain her diary and commitments in the USA, Larisa will now spend more time in Europe alongside her husband, musician Sebastian Danzig.
The couple fell in love with Amsterdam and, after spending time in the city, began dreaming of opening a salon there. Turning that vision into reality, however, was not without its challenges. The project involved late nights, early mornings and setbacks, with Larisa working alongside Sebastian and the contractors to bring the salon to life.
Speaking at the salon’s opening night, Larisa encouraged others to pursue their ambitions, saying: “Never be afraid to dream.” She also credited the support of Sebastian, her friends and the contractors who helped share and realise her vision.
Located in Amsterdam’s Jordaan district, the new salon reflects Larisa’s bold and individual approach to hairdressing and design.
Guests at the opening travelled from Germany, the UK and the USA and were welcomed with champagne and matcha drinks before being given a tour of the new space. Among the standout features is a dedicated JOICO colour bar, complemented by comfortable salon furniture, a statement leopard-print sofa and shelves displaying Larisa’s favourite JOICO care and styling products.
The salon’s double-aspect windows incorporate original stained-glass panels, flooding the space with natural light, which is particularly important for Larisa when creating her signature colour transformations.
The design continues throughout the salon, with several striking glass chandeliers providing a strong focal point. Even the powder room has been given a distinctive treatment, featuring a decoupage wall covered with black-and-white portraits of supermodels and inspirational imagery.
The result is a salon that mirrors Larisa’s personality and creative aesthetic, with carefully considered details throughout the space.
JOICO was represented at the opening by Ursula Puchhammer, Brand & Digital Communications Manager EMEA, who praised Larisa’s talent and welcomed the arrival of her first European salon.

The new Amsterdam salon marks an exciting next chapter for Larisa Love, combining her established US career with a new European base and bringing her approach to colour, creativity and salon design to a new audience.
