Made for all hair types including fine, fragile, thick, curls, coils, children, men, and hair extension wearers, care is in MANTA’s DNA. The MANTA Healthy Hair Brush was designed by Professional hairdresser Tim Binnington to help boost his wife’s confidence whilst undergoing cancer treatment.
As Dani Binnington went through cancer treatment, she lost all her hair—a challenging and emotional experience for anyone. When it began to grow back, her husband, Tim, noticed the breakage that a traditional hairbrush causes. He dedicated two years to research and development, creating a brush which would flex and move with the hair, minimising breakage while offering a soothing, self-care experience—much like running your fingers through your hair.

“Tim and Dani Binnington connected with The Little Princess Trust through their innovative creation, the MANTA Healthy Hair Brush. Their brushes are now an essential part of the charity’s wig care boxes, supporting nearly 2,000 young people with hair loss each year.” – Little Princess Trust.
Celebrating their 20th Anniversary, The Little Princess Trust has helped to restore the confidence and identity of more than 17,000 young people, up to the age of 24, by providing them with a real hair wig.
The Little Princess Trust has also given more than £20million to researchers focussed on finding kinder and more effective treatments for all childhood cancers. Manta continues to support by donating a total of 8620 brushes to the Little Princess Trust with a retail value of £229,130.

A cost-effective waste management service that helps salons, barbershops, and freelancers easily recycle their waste from as little as £40 per collection.
Published:Whether you run a large salon, a small independent studio, or work as a freelance hairdresser, Recycle My Salon provides tailored solutions to suit your needs. Instead of sending hair, foils and aerosol cans to landfill, salons can now divert their waste into sustainable solutions, such as using transforming hair into compost.
If you scrunch foil into a ball, then open your hand, it stays scrunched up in a ball if it’s aluminium, but it springs back up if it’s made from plastic.
Recycle My Salon offers flexible pricing options to fit different budgets. The service provides collection bins, easy pick-up schedules, and certification to showcase a salon’s commitment to sustainability. Simply add a 50p or £1.00 ‘eco fee’ to each service to offset the cost of recycling your waste aluminium.
Recycle My Salon is led by the Hair & Beauty Suppliers Association (HBSA) and supported by a large number of companies within the hairdressing industry playing their part in fighting climate change.

Tips for putting together a winning entry by Thursday 3rd April 2025.
Published:Offering all professional hairdressers the chance to demonstrate their exceptional talent and creativity as part of the world’s biggest live hairdressing competition, past Winners share what you need to do to create a standout entry for the L’Oreal Colour Trophy Award.
1 Step outside your comfort zone and enter competitions such as L’Oreal Colour Trophy. The feeling of excitement when you get through to the finals is amazing, but you have to enter to be in with a chance of winning! Don’t let fear of failure stop you from entering.
2 You have to spend time putting together a winning entry, so set time aside and don’t rush it; don’t underestimate the time you need to do.
3 You don’t need to be a big fish to make a big splash in the industry. Just believe in your own skills. You have the knowledge you already need so put it into practice.
4 Don’t get distracted by what other people are doing, keep doing what you’re good at and concentrate on your own vision.
1 My biggest piece of advice is to know the rules inside out – and stick to them. Read them repeatedly to make sure you’re meeting every requirement because they’re there for a reason, and they can make or break your entry.
2 Beyond that, having a strong creative concept is key. Your look should tell a story and showcase your vision.
3 Even the most stunning colour work needs a flawless finish to truly stand out.
4 So, invest time in your styling, the condition of the hair, and the overall presentation – it’s all those elements combined that will make your work shine.
Each category has its own criteria to give entrants an opportunity to showcase their colour vision, and the closing date is 3 April 2025.
For all the categories, criteria, and terms and conditions head to www.lorealcolourtrophy.com

Sculptural Elegance Meets Feminine Fragility.
Published:Roksanda’s latest collection showcased bold and exaggerated shapes with striking colours, textures and patterns – and in other pieces a quieter, more fragile femininity.
“Drawing inspiration from sculptor Phyllida Barlow, the hair for the show was designed with a mix of textures to reflect both control and graphic structure while also embracing fragility and sensibility. We wanted the hair to be a continuation of last season’s concept—pushed-back, sleek, and contained—while introducing elements of texture. This was seen vividly in the semi-looped ponytail, which mimicked both sculpture and hair shape. There was a two tier approach to the hair: one style had a gelled, pushed-back effect using the Cosmic Blowdry Jelly, while the other was a more broken-up, textured look. Some were wet – achieved by saturating the hair with the Glow Spray Serum for a sleek finish, while others were dry and we treated the hair with Nymph Salt Spray to create a dry, textured effect,”
– Anna.
Get The Look 1
1. Use Cosmic Blowdry Jelly to slick back hair in a square shape using a wide tooth comb and set sides with diffuser.
2. Depending on hair type create natural texture through mid lengths and ends using Hydrate Spray Conditioner or Flawless Primer and using fingers twist hair and press product into hair to encourage movement.
Get The Look 2:
1. Use Cosmic Blowdry Jelly to slick back hair in a square shape using a wide tooth comb and set sides with diffuser.
2. For the ponytail, take 2 panels – one from each side – make sure the central panel and hair underneath stays clean
3. Bring the two panels together and manipulate the hair to create a looped ponytail
4. Add the fabric piece underneath before securing with elastic cord
