The ID Artist programme, developed by L’Oréal Professionnel Paris, is designed to identify and cultivate individual talent, fostering growth and maximising potential.
Published:With an exceptional list of alumni including Marlon Hawkins, Nancy Stripe and Abigail Butler, gaining a spot on the ID Artist programme can be career changing. With hundreds of applicants, the entrant level this year was extremely high and the competition was tough. Entrants had to submit an audition video showcasing a model which was judged by a prestigious panel of award-winning experts, with finalists invited to a virtual interview to share their creative vision. Following a two-round judging process and a day of virtual auditions, the new L’Oréal Professionnel Paris ID Artists for 2025 are revealed.
The ID Artist team receive inspirational education and unparalleled hairdressing opportunities, designed to upskill, empower and connect with a nationwide community of fellow artists.
“Surrounding yourself with like-minded individuals and you will fly creatively. ID Artist 2025 is full of amazing talent already creating a vibe for themselves. It’s going to be exciting to watch these dedicated artists of the industry grow,”
– Judge Darren Ambrose from D&J Ambrose.
“It’s such an amazing opportunity for these creative and super-talented hairstylists to gain a place on the ID Artist team to grow their confidence and work with other creatives learning and being coached by the best in the industry. The ID Artist programme is about growing talent and the talent we had seen on audition day was outstanding. The standard was extremely high and seeing people re-audition from last year, also shows us how special it is to gain a place on the ID Artist programme,”
– Angie Dromgoole from Zeba Hairdressing, Judge.
The 2025-26 ID Artist team will come together for training where they will find out this year’s exciting plans, but we can’t give those details away yet; that is a surprise!

This season’s highly anticipated collection celebrates duality, inspired by the twin personalities of Gemini.
Published:“The inspiration was 70’s, as a designer Helen Anthony loves to reference that era and for this show he told me his theme was Gemini so I suggested creating dual personalities with the hair looks too. Like the Gemini sign, one twin is the impulsive twin that we styled with big, voluminous hair and the other twin is the curious twin with a cool girl mullet and curls. With the huge hair looks, we split into 4 characters – The Debbie after Debbie Harry, The Dolly after Dolly Parton, The Amy after Amy Winehouse and The Pammie after Pamela Anderson. For the cool hair look my inspiration was Nadia Lee Cohen, a British artist, film producer and character that’s super cool. This look is about creating shapes at the front of the hair, almost an anti-look to what the hair wanted to do, so the curls coming forward rather than back,”
– Lead Hair Stylist Johanna Cree Brown shares.
Blending nature’s beauty with the ingenuity of human craftsmanship, the collection reflects Helen Anthony’s core values of craftsmanship, innovation, and diversity, while embracing contrasts and creative freedom.
Twin 1 – The Big Hair Look
• Texture Spray
• Volumising Powder
• Flexible Hairspray
• Glaze It Up
Twin 2 – The Mullets & Short Hair
• Treat and Tame
• Texture Spray
From voluminous, statement looks to effortlessly cool curls, the hair elevated the collection’s narrative of duality, ensuring a striking presence on the runway.

Rob’s role as an OSMO ambassador will see him working closely with the brand to create content, attend industry events, and participate in brand shoots.
Hair Story
Rob Weston’s journey began at LAFHAB (Leeds Academy for Hairdressing & Barbering) in Leeds City Centre, and after qualifying, he honed his craft in a busy walk-in barbershop, quickly building a loyal clientele that followed him as he moved to the next town. He converted part of a hair salon into a dedicated barbershop, where he spent two years establishing his name before returning to the heart of Leeds.
Opening Level 7
Under Michael Tominay, Rob gained valuable experience at Boris & Co, and went on to expand his expertise at King Coby’s and 13 Barbers. After three years, fatherhood led him back to a local setting at Boris & Co in Mirfield before he set out on his own venture. Rob opened Level 7 Barbers in 2023 with his expertise spanning both barbering and hairdressing, incorporating elements of precision cutting, longer styles, and colouring into his hybrid approach.
Beyond The Shop
Rob has shared his knowledge through stage work with Great British Barber Bash and as a coach for Learn to Cut, an online platform mentoring aspiring barbers to refine their skills and elevate their pricing. He also runs his own independent education courses, helping others unlock their potential.
“Rob’s expertise in barbering resonates with our passion towards the barbering industry. We’re excited to be working closely with Rob and seeing how his creative skills help to build the OSMO brand and products to a wider barbering audience,”
– OSMO Senior Brand Manager, Sinéad. McLaughlin

Chris Grimley, Textured Hair Specialist, and Owner Of Fusion Hair Co & Textured Curl Academy shares the trends.
Published:Bold, high-volume textured hair stole the show. Campbell’s gravity-defying, sculptural texture was a striking departure from the sleek styles she’s often known for. This dramatic shift didn’t just complement DSquared2’s rebellious aesthetic, it reinforced the growing momentum behind *big, expressive hair on the runway. While luxury fashion has often favoured polished minimalism, this season proves that volume, movement, and fearless texture are carving out their place in the industry.

The hair design perfectly complemented the show’s powerful Renaissance narrative with extra-long, beachy mermaid waves paired with loose braids. This modern interpretation of historical beauty focused heavily on the hair’s natural texture, showcasing a variety of different hair types on the runway, which was wonderful to see. This kind of textured hair reflects a growing shift, one that celebrates authenticity and embraces natural movement. The emphasis on length, volume, and subtle detailing further enhances this trend, and I expect to see it widely embraced in 2025.

Labrum London marked a powerful moment for Afro-textured hair on the 2025 runway, blending rich African hairstyling traditions with modern innovation. The show featured Bantu knots, parted with pillars of synthetic wavy and coil hair, locs adorned with dangling beads, and intricate cornrows, all pushing Afro-textured styles to new, breathtaking heights. Labrum London has elevated Afro-textured hair beyond what we typically see on the runway.

With a subtle nod to the 1980s, hair was all about controlled volume. Models sported teased, voluminous hair that highlighted natural movement and volume without the excessive styling typical of that era. The focus was on pre-styling and blow-drying techniques to achieve height at the roots, resulting in a relaxed and contemporary interpretation of the iconic ’80s look. The focus is on technique and preparation to create volume and shape and is a refreshing approach.

A timeless ‘just-woke-up’ look, but still runway style polished, the show embraced the art of effortlessly textured hair, blending soft volume with just the right amount of structure. The looks were fluid and natural, yet maintained a sense of definition, showcasing a relaxed yet elevated approach to texture. Key to achieving this look was the use of textured spray, which created a natural, ‘effortlessly mused’ finish.

Under the creative direction of the Artistic Ambassador for Revlon Professional UK & Ireland, hair was inspired by the luxury of minimalism.
Published:The Hair: Loose, low ponytails that exuded casual elegance. Hair was styled to appear free-flowing, natural, and undone, striking the perfect balance between simplicity and sophistication.
The Products: Revlon Professional Modular Mousse to create body, moisture, and shine, ensuring the hair maintained its light, fluid movement while staying polished.
“For the Talia Byre AW25 presentation, we wanted the hair to feel effortlessly chic—minimal but with a touch of luxury. The loose, low ponytail is timeless, but by keeping it soft, undone, and free-flowing, we created a modern, wearable look. Using Revlon
Professional Modular Mousse allowed us to enhance the hair’s natural movement while adding moisture and shine, ensuring it felt healthy and luminous on the runway.”

This marks the fourth season of collaboration between the renowned haircare brand and the acclaimed designer.
Published:Inspired by the effortless glamour of Valley of the Dolls and the iconic aesthetic of Edie Sedgwick at Andy Warhol’s Factory parties, both the collection and hair looks paying homage to the iconic style of the 1960s.
INDOLA products from the new styling range were used to achieve voluminous crowns and sleek, glossy ponytails. The hairstyles completed the 1960’s aesthetic, helping bring Huishan Zhang’s AW25 vision to life.
“The hair looks were created with a little bit of volume throughout and at the crown of the head, creating quite a round shape to emphasise that classic 60s nod, but still quite minimalist to suit Huishan’s aesthetic,”
– Johanna Cree Brown, Lead Hair Stylist.

“The inspiration for this look is a continuation of the patterns and panels we’ve explored in previous seasons. We wanted to mimic elements of
the patterns and textures within Chet’s designs by incorporating high gloss crimped panels at the back and sides of the hair. To achieve this, we used hero Authentic Beauty Concept”
– Anna.
1. Hair is smoothed out from a sharp middle parting, using straightening irons and Glow Spray Serum.
2. Taking a veil of hair either side of the parting, crimp panels of hair using Working Hairspray to set the shape.
3. Add a further crimped panel in the back for extra texture.
4. Apply Hand and Hair Light Cream, Pliable Paste, and Glow Spray Serum to enhance shine and control flyaways.
5. Lock in the look with a final mist of Working Hairspray for lasting hold.
