Award-winning Stylist Lukas Payne has opened the doors to Lukas Payne Hair Studio, a new appointment-only boutique salon in Wolverhampton designed to offer clients a personalised, luxury hairdressing experience.

Officially opened by the Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor Craig Collingswood, alongside Karen Thomas of Revlon Professional, the new Waterloo Road salon marks a significant milestone for Payne, winner of Revlon Professional Visionaries Re-Mastered 2025.

Design-Led Space

Housed within a restored Victorian property, the design-led space combines original architectural features with contemporary interiors to create an intimate environment centred on one-to-one appointments. Accessed via intercom, the private studio has been designed to deliver a discreet, premium client experience.

Revlon Professional Visionaries

The launch follows a transformative period in Payne’s career. After more than 18 years in the industry, he has spoken openly about experiencing burnout while working independently before rediscovering his passion through the Revlon Professional Visionaries programme.

Career Highlights

Originally from Poland, Payne began his hairdressing journey in his family’s salon before moving to the UK, where he built a successful freelance career. Today, he is recognised for his bespoke blonding, creative colour work and personalised approach to client service. Alongside his Visionaries title, he is also a Revlon Professional Colour Specialist 2025, a double finalist at the UK Hair & Beauty Awards, and has presented work at HairCon and Salon International.

Commenting on the opening, Payne said: “Opening Lukas Payne Hair Studio feels incredibly emotional because just over a year ago, I honestly thought I was leaving hairdressing for good. I wanted to create a space that feels calm, welcoming and genuinely personal, where clients can enjoy a luxury experience while feeling comfortable and cared for.”

“The biggest thing I’ve learnt is how important connection is in this industry. Hairdressing can sometimes feel isolating, especially when you work independently, and I want this space to celebrate creativity, education and community as much as beautiful hair.”

The opening signals the next chapter for Payne, combining his creative expertise with a salon concept focused on wellbeing, craftsmanship and a truly individual client experience.
