Published:LEGACY, a creative showcase at Cosmoprof that paid tribute to the brand’s heritage while looking firmly to the future.
Rather than recreating the past, the show reimagined the iconic styles of the 1960s through a contemporary lens. Oversized afros, sculpted tong sets, glossy bends and graphic flicks took centre stage, combining precision styling with bold, modern creativity.
Taking the audience on a journey from salon to photoshoot, the presentation culminated in ‘Club 60’ a high-energy finale featuring BaBylissPRO’s international Creative Team, including Ky Wilson (UK), Syd Hayes (UK), Álvaro Sánchez (Spain), Tizziana Pecorella (BeNeLux), Ilona Kulesza (Poland) and Michelle Sultan (UK).
The event also marked the launch of BaBylissPRO‘s new professional curling tool collection. Inspired by the brand’s 60-year heritage, the range has been designed to give stylists greater versatility, performance and control when creating modern curl looks.
Throughout the show, BaBylissPRO ambassadors from across Europe demonstrated the new tools live on stage to Cosmoprof’s audience of more than 250,000 beauty professionals.
Commenting on the concept, UK Brand Ambassador Ky Wilson said: “We wanted to pay homage to the heritage of the brand, but not as a nostalgic copy. We wanted a bold reinvention, a modern finish to a classic icon.”
