Published:Denman has continued its long-standing commitment to community support with a £1,700 donation to the Northern Ireland Forest School Association (NIFSA).
Supporting local charities has long been part of the Denman ethos, championed by the brand’s late Chairman, Dr John Rainey MBE, whose philanthropic work helped establish a culture of giving across the business. Today, Denman continues to support both local and national causes through fundraising, volunteering initiatives and product donations.
The latest contribution will help fund outdoor learning classes run by NIFSA, a charity dedicated to promoting child-centred learning experiences in nature. The organisation works with schools and families across Northern Ireland to encourage confidence, independence and curiosity through outdoor education.
Brian Poots, representative for NIFSA, said: “The Northern Ireland Forest School Association was delighted to receive such a generous donation from Denman. This funding is vital in allowing us to continue our charitable work supporting outdoor learning in schools and communities.
“NIFSA now works with more than half of the schools in Northern Ireland and has trained and accredited more than 1,000 teachers as Forest School Leaders. We recently secured a joint motion with the Northern Ireland Education Committee to encourage the development of a dedicated outdoor learning strategy for schools by the end of 2026,” – NIFSA.
Without the support of companies like Denman, NIFSA wouldn’t be able to achieve everything they have done, and are incredibly grateful for their support.
