Giving the next generation of hairdressing talent a high-profile platform to showcase their skills.
Published:After a short interval, the 2027 F.A.M.E. Team Finals, sponsored by K18 and Olivia Garden, will take place at Excel London on 4 October 2026.
The Fellowship Academy of Merit and Excellence (F.A.M.E.) Team is an annual initiative designed to nurture and develop a select group of emerging hairdressers, giving them opportunities to build their skills and experience across different areas of the industry.
For those selected, the F.A.M.E. Team year offers an intensive programme of development, including mentor days with leading industry experts, photoshoots and opportunities to work on shows and seminars in the UK and overseas. Team members also receive training in areas including media and presentation skills, working alongside some of the biggest names in hairdressing.
Leading the 2027 F.A.M.E. Team will be Lesley Jennison, who has an exciting programme planned for the new class.

The F.A.M.E. Team Finals will see eight finalists compete in front of a live audience and an expert judging panel. The finalists will face a series of challenges before presenting a two-minute show designed to demonstrate their individual creativity, technical ability and stage presence.
The current 2026 F.A.M.E. Team, led by Christel Barron-Hough, will also take to the stage to present a showcase reflecting on their own F.A.M.E. journey. The presentation will highlight how the team has developed throughout the year, both individually and collectively.
The event forms part of Salon International at Excel London, where thousands of stylists, barbers, colourists, educators and salon owners come together to discover new products and innovations, share ideas and celebrate creativity from across the industry.

While the finalists will have their moment in the spotlight at Salon International, the identity of the new 2027 F.A.M.E. Team will be revealed later in the year.
The announcement will take place at the Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s 80th Anniversary Luncheon and Awards on 7 December 2026. The event will be held at The Londoner Hotel on Leicester Square and will bring together members of the industry for one of the Fellowship’s key networking and awards events.
Simon Shaw, President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, praised the standard of talent among this year’s finalists and welcomed the return of the Finals to Salon International.
“The calibre of talent we’ve seen has been next level. I’m delighted that this incredible event is returning to Salon International and that we are able to provide the next generation of hairdressing with a global stage to showcase their talent.”
He added that the renewed collaboration with Salon International represents an exciting opportunity to celebrate creativity and excellence within the industry, while congratulating all eight finalists on reaching the Finals.
With the 2026 team preparing to showcase the results of their year-long development and eight new finalists competing for their place in the next F.A.M.E. Team, the Finals promise to put emerging hairdressing talent firmly in the spotlight.
