A new community initiative designed to help dads.
Published:Chichester salon Q Hair and Beauty has launched a new community initiative designed to help dads master basic hair braiding skills while raising money for charity.
The first Beer, Braids and Dads event proved a sell-out success, prompting the award-winning salon to add further Friday evening sessions to its calendar.
Guests received a complimentary beer on arrival before taking part in a relaxed, hands-on workshop, where the salon team demonstrated simple braiding techniques that fathers can recreate at home. The £10 ticket price from the launch event was donated to baby loss charity Tommy’s.
Kain Lawrence, Managing Director of Q Hair and Beauty, said: “We’ve been blown away by the response, and bookings are already coming in for future events. Beer, Braids and Dads was created as a fun way to help dads feel more confident styling their children’s hair while bringing people together to support a worthwhile cause.
“We’re proud to have donated all proceeds from the first event to Tommy’s and look forward to raising even more through future sessions.”
