KEVIN.MURPHY Global Professional Ambassador Eugene Souleiman brought a sense of structure, sparkle and controlled chaos.
Published:KEVIN.MURPHY Global Professional Ambassador Eugene Souleiman brought a sense of structure, sparkle and controlled chaos to Collina Strada’s Delirium in Bloom PS27 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Presented as part of Copenhagen Fashion Week’s 20th anniversary, Delirium in Bloom explores transformation, reuse and creative experimentation. Creative Director Hillary Taymour created the collection using fabrics, trims, notions and remnants accumulated throughout Collina Strada’s history, transforming existing materials through pleating, twisting, layering, patchworking and sculpting.
Souleiman applied the same transformative approach to the hair, treating it as another material within the collection and creating fantastical, sculptural looks that blurred the boundaries between hair, textile and sculpture.

The hair direction took inspiration from imagery captured by NASA’s Hubble Telescope, with Souleiman looking to the sparkling gas, intense colours and unusual astral formations of intergalactic landscapes.
“I wanted the hair to feel otherworldly, interplanetary, weird, bright and beautiful all at once,” – Souleiman.
Rather than following traditional hairstyling conventions, he approached each look from an artistic perspective, using hair as a creative material and allowing the shapes to develop organically.

The first of two key hair directions, Couture Disco, reimagined the classic updo with a deliberately chaotic, sculptural finish.
Hair was prepped using FRESH.HAIR and ANTI.GRAVITY by KEVIN.MURPHY to create texture, body and workable volume. SESSION.SPRAY was then layered throughout the hair to build structure and hold as each abstract shape was developed.
The result was an intentionally imperfect updo combining couture construction with a sense of cosmic debris, with each look created individually for the wearer.
For the second key direction, Space Fairy, the hair was brought closer to the head to create a sleek, extraterrestrial silhouette.
Souleiman used SESSION.SPRAY almost like a gel, saturating the hair before wetting and compressing it close to the scalp beneath a net. Tinsel and glitter were then incorporated into the finished looks, creating a reflective, otherworldly surface.
The approach was intentionally maximalist, with Souleiman embracing the collection’s bold aesthetic and the philosophy that “more is more.”

The hair looks also reflected one of the collection’s central themes: the creative potential of reuse.
Fabric from previous Collina Strada collections was incorporated directly into the hair, extending Taymour’s approach to upcycling beyond the garments and into the beauty looks.
“The hair connects with the collection because, quite literally, it’s made from the same world. Hillary has revisited elements of her previous collections and upcycled her past, and we’ve done the same. We used actual fabric from previous Collina Strada collections and repurposed it within the hair,”
– Souleiman.
The resulting looks became an extension of Delirium in Bloom, combining familiar materials with unexpected forms and pushing traditional salon codes towards experimentation.
For KEVIN.MURPHY, the collaboration also reflects the brand’s focus on bringing runway creativity and session styling techniques from the fashion world to professional hairdressers and the salon floor.
