The latest collection from Tom Ross of the Marc Antoni team.
Published:Bold colour placement, high-impact contrasts and expressive styling take centre stage in Urban Voltage.
Making a statement with colour, texture and movement, Urban Voltage explores the creative potential of vivid shades against darker, contrasting bases. The collection showcases a series of distinctive looks that combine confident colour placement with striking shapes and editorial styling.
Created by Tom Ross, hairdresser and member of the Marc Antoni Artistic Team, the collection celebrates individuality through adventurous colour choices and attention-grabbing finishes.
Across the collection, intense shades of red, magenta, purple, teal and acid yellow bring energy to the hair. Rather than relying on a single all-over colour, the looks use contrasting sections and strategically placed accents to create depth, movement and visual impact.
In one look, long, textured layers provide a canvas for vivid flashes of colour, with red, yellow, teal and purple woven through a dark base. The result is an expressive, multi-tonal finish in which the placement of each shade contributes to the overall design.
Elsewhere, pastel pinks and purples meet yellow accents in a voluminous, swept-back style. The combination of exaggerated shape and contrasting colour creates a dramatic silhouette, while another look pairs dark, textured hair with silver-toned sections and bright yellow highlights for a more graphic interpretation.
The collection also explores the relationship between colour and cut. A sculpted blonde bob, accented with blue through the fringe and front sections, demonstrates how a carefully positioned pop of colour can transform a classic shape into something more directional.
Urban Voltage offers inspiration for hairdressers looking to push beyond conventional colour placement and explore more individualised results.
The images demonstrate how vivid shades can be used to frame the face, accentuate a fringe, highlight layers or create contrast through the lengths. They also show how texture and styling influence the way colour is perceived, with movement revealing different tones and sections throughout the hair.
For colourists, the collection provides a reminder that bold results are not only about the shades selected, but also about where they are placed and how they interact with the haircut.
With its combination of high-impact colour, dramatic styling and contrasting textures, Urban Voltage is a celebration of creative freedom and the possibilities of fashion-led hair colour.
