ghd has unveiled ghd Sculpt, its first interactive styler, marking what the brand describes as a new era of AI-driven hair styling technology.
Launched as ghd celebrates its 25th anniversary, the new professional tool is powered by the brand’s Heat-Adapt Technology, which uses artificial intelligence to monitor and respond to the hair’s temperature in real time. Unlike traditional straighteners that regulate plate temperature alone, ghd Sculpt measures the temperature of the hair itself, adapting heat delivery to each section during styling.
According to ghd, the technology performs 2,900 measurements per second, enabling the styler to adjust power output based on factors including hair thickness and styling speed. The result is personalised heat control designed to deliver consistent styling performance while maintaining the hair’s natural structure.
The launch also introduces a completely redesigned styling tool, featuring ultra-slim Infinity™ plates and a lightweight ergonomic profile to make creating sleek styles, waves and curls easier across all hair types.
ghd says Sculpt delivers up to 90% more shine, 2.5 times less frizz, superior curl definition and styling that’s up to five times faster, while research conducted with independent scientific partners found no statistically significant changes to the hair’s natural structure following use.
