• Don’t default to extensions without a thorough in-person consultation so you can conduct a thorough scalp and density assessment. We have strict application protocol at Remi Cachet to ensure we only grant trade accounts to certified stylists.
• Avoid using extension methods that can place excessive tension or weight on naturally fragile hair. Some application techniques can also require heat or glue, which can cause additional stress and breakage, or place pressure on the scalp that exacerbates hair loss. Light and thin application methods like Remi Cachet Nano Wefts or pre-bonded methods like Remi Cachet Nano Tips are often more suitable and offer maximum discretion whilst also putting minimal stress on the natural root.
• Plan for maintenance. Safe extensions for hair loss clients are supported by routine check-ins and aftercare education.
• Refer when needed. Not every client is suitable for extensions – sometimes a trichologist or specialist treatment plan is a better first step.

Step By Step

• Apply Authentic Beauty Concept GLOWSPRAY SERUM from roots to ends to ensure maximum heat protection and to smooth out the hair texture.
• Add in Remi Cachet’s Ponytail extension as the base.
• Use Cosmic Blowdry Jelly to pull hair back into two high ponytails to create a base for the structure.
• Prep the Remi Cachet clip in extensions with Airy Texture Spray to build up volume before setting them with a mist of Working Hairspray and setting with curling irons.
• Once cooled down, brush out the hair and back comb.
• Create rounded looped shapes in different directions and pin them into place.
• Secure the structure across the base of the second ponytail and set the top ponytail and mould the shape into its main shape.
• Set the hair with Working Hairspray and add a mist of Glow spray serum for the last touch of shine.
