Debbie G is bringing her inimitable education legacy and style to collaborate with Schwarzkopf Professional’s Shaping Futures programme in the Philippines.
Published:Debbie is hosting a Sassoon Seminar on 31st March at 6.30pm at Sassoon Academy, Greek Street as a fundraising drive for this incredible initiative.
The programme transforms lives through hairdressing. Through the inspirational training brought by world-class Educators like Debbie, these socially challenged young adults’ lives will be changed so the cycle of disadvantage is shifted into one of independence. During her time with Shaping Futures, Debbie will be teaching classic cutting and styling techniques for two weeks as part of a six-week programme.
“I’m really excited to go back to my roots at the Sassoon Academy in Greek Street. This is going to be an amazing event, raising money for an incredible charity that will literally change lives, Shaping Futures is all about skilling and equipping individuals with the tools to earn a living and raise themselves out of poverty to support themselves, their families and find a new purpose and drive,” – Debbie.
From 2nd May to 17th May 2025, Debbie is Philippines-bound to help shape these futures of young people from the SOS Children’s Village in the Philippines. It’s an international, non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and non-denominational organisation dedicated to providing holistic care to children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.
“We are beyond thrilled to have the support of the incredible Debbie G, to be able to bring such a super-skilled hairdressing to these learners is going to be like a dream come true for them. This programme is incredibly important and over the past fifteen years, we’ve helped hundreds of youngsters to fulfil their dreams and aspirations. We are incredibly proud of all the people involved, but especially the young people who fight every day to create their own futures; they are inspirations to us all,” – Kay Brady, Head of Education and events for Schwarzkopf Professional.
