Published:Denman has announced the winner of its College Star – Big Blowout Competition 2026, with hairdressing student Libby Bowden from Collinge & Co Training taking home the top prize.
The annual competition, designed to spotlight emerging hairdressing talent across the UK, attracted more than 750 entries this year. Students were invited to submit four images showcasing their best blow-dry for the chance to win £1,000.
Libby impressed the judges with a polished mid-length blow-dry full of volume, movement and balance, securing her the 2026 College Star title.
“I chose this blow-dry as my final look because it has a lot of volume and movement throughout. I feel so happy with winning the competition and really proud of myself for doing it. Anyone thinking of entering next year should go for it – it’s the taking part that counts!”

As part of her prize, Libby received £1,000 in cash, a Denman College Styling Kit, and a bundle of Denman tools worth £200 for her college department.
The Denman College Star Big Blowout Competition 2027 opens on 15 February 2027.
