LFW SS27: Bumble and bumble X TOGA

Bumble and bumble created a series of structured yet undone hairstyles for TOGA’s latest collection at London Fashion Week.

The hair looks were designed to reflect the collection’s contrast between control and disruption, combining precise shapes with deliberately imperfect finishes.

Women’s Hair

For the women’s looks, the hair centred on a deep side parting and sleek, close-set ponytails, creating a strong, elongated silhouette. The precision of the style was deliberately softened with flyaways around the hairline and sides, giving the finished look a more lived-in quality.

Men’s Hair

The men’s hair took a more product-led and grungy approach, adapted according to each model’s length and natural texture. Bumble and bumble Prep Primer was used to prepare the hair and enhance its natural movement, while Sumo Gel created a defined, wet-look finish.

On selected models with shorter hair, choppy fringes were used to soften the stronger shapes, while flyaways and texture around the perimeter maintained the contrast between harder, controlled elements and softer detailing.

How To Create the TOGA Look

To recreate the main women’s look, Hair Lead Claire Grech and the Bumble and bumble team began by creating a deep side parting on the model’s left side, keeping the line clean and precise.

Thickening Spray was then worked through the hair, with a small amount of water added to help distribute the product evenly. Thickening High Drama™ Mousse was applied through the crown to provide control and pliability.

The hair was blow-dried straight and close to the head, directed backwards from the parting. The front was slightly over-directed before being swept behind the ear to create a clean, graphic line.

The hair was then secured into a controlled ponytail, with the ends straightened for a sharp finish.

The final result combined a sleek, controlled shape with deliberately imperfect details. According to the creative direction, the hair was intended to feel “sleek but not overly polished”, reflecting TOGA’s balance of structure and disruption.
