For the Paris Fashion Week SS27 collection, Le Mindu drew on the glamour of classic Hollywood, taking inspiration from the iconic style of Marilyn Monroe but giving it a more undone, contemporary edge.
The hair was designed to celebrate each model’s individuality, with the styling responding to their character and natural movement. Rather than brushing the curls into a polished finish, they were kept defined and textured, creating a playful silhouette with a strong sense of movement.
Le Mindu described the approach as a way of embracing the imperfections and movement of real life, using the models themselves as inspiration.
“Old Hollywood offers volume and curls, but we’ve presented it in an undone way, working with the movement of the models’ hair.”
The result was a modern interpretation of Hollywood glamour, combining femininity with individuality and an effortless confidence.
Schwarzkopf OSiS+ Dust It was the hero backstage product, used to add definition and shape while working with the models’ natural texture.
~ The hair was first prepared with Schwarzkopf OSiS+ Refresh Dust, which was brushed through the hair before styling.
~ Curling tongs were then used to curl and pin the hair across the head, following its natural growth pattern and movement.
~ The sides were pinned backwards, while the front and top sections were directed forwards.
~ OSiS+ Session hairspray was applied before allowing the hair to set.
~ Once the pins were removed, OSiS+ Dust It was worked through the hair with the fingers to break up the curls according to the natural texture.
~ The hair was then shaped into a mullet-inspired silhouette, before being secured with OSiS+ Session and finished with OSiS+ Sparkler for added shine.
The finished looks demonstrate how classic references can be reworked for a contemporary catwalk, retaining the volume and glamour of Hollywood styling while introducing texture, movement and a deliberately less polished finish.
