A Sassoon-trained stylist and owner of Melissa Timperley Salons, Melissa launched the app following the success of her sold-out one-day cutting courses, after repeated demand from stylists unable to attend in person.
The platform focuses on wearable, commercially relevant salon cuts while helping stylists understand the foundations behind precision cutting, rather than simply copying techniques.
“For many hairdressers, cutting can feel stressful and overwhelming,” Melissa explains. “But once you truly understand shape, balance and sectioning, cutting becomes quicker, easier and far more enjoyable… and ultimately more profitable.”
Melissa says the idea came from seeing talented stylists in her own salon avoid certain services because they lacked confidence in specific techniques.
The app combines step-by-step tutorials, multi-angle demonstrations and detailed explanations designed to help stylists build long-term confidence behind the chair.
