Setting New Standard for Salon Technology.
Published:Phorest has officially become a Certified B Corporation™, strengthening its commitment to responsible business practices across the salon, spa and clinic industry.
Phorest, salon, spa and clinic management software provider, has achieved B Corp Certification following a rigorous assessment of its social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
With more than 12,000 customers globally, Phorest joins a growing community of businesses working towards a more inclusive, equitable and regenerative economy.
Founded in Dublin by CEO Ronan Perceval, Phorest was created to help salon, spa and clinic businesses manage, market and grow.
The company’s offering combines software with mentoring and education, with its wider mission focused on working alongside its community to build a stronger professional industry.

As part of its B Corp certification, Phorest completed the B Impact Assessment, an independent evaluation developed by B Lab™ covering five key areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.
Phorest achieved an overall impact score of 89, with particular strengths identified across its workplace, community and environmental initiatives.
Women currently make up 50% of Phorest’s management team, while the company’s mean gender pay gap is 4% less than half the Irish national average of 9.6%, and below the EU average of 13%.
Phorest’s environmental and community commitments include its Phorest Forest initiative, through which the company planted 800 trees in 2024 and purchased 15 acres of forestry in County Longford, Ireland, with plans to support the local ecosystem through further tree planting.
In 2025, the company also made six-figure charitable donations to more than 20 organisations, while Phorest employees completed 712 hours of paid volunteer work.
As part of its certification, Phorest has formally embedded stakeholder consideration into its legal governing documents through B Lab’s Mission Lock.
This is designed to protect the company’s commitments to its people, community and planet through future ownership changes, ensuring these priorities remain part of its long-term business structure.
Ronan Perceval, Founder and CEO of Phorest, says the move formalises a philosophy that has been part of the company’s culture since its beginnings.
“Intent is one thing, but formalising it is another. By embedding this commitment directly into our legal structure, we ensure that our dedication to our clients, our team, and our planet cannot be quietly set aside when things get difficult or short-term industry pressures mount.”

Phorest is positioning its B Corp certification not simply as a business milestone, but as a call for greater accountability across the salon, spa and clinic sector.
Perceval says the company’s ambition is for responsible business practices to become an industry-wide expectation rather than a point of differentiation.
“Becoming a B Corp does not make Phorest exceptional,” he says. “Our genuine hope is that this level of accountability and long-term thinking becomes the norm. The standard we all hold ourselves to across the beauty, wellness, and tech sectors.”
