8 Finalists named at the semi-final judging day.
Published:The F.A.M.E. Team (the Fellowship Academy of Merit and Excellence) was created to nurture and develop the next generation of hairdressing talent. Those selected take part in a year-long programme of mentoring, photoshoots, shows, seminars and training, including media and presentation skills. The 2027 team will be led by Lesley Jennison.
Sponsored by K18 and Olivia Garden, the semi-finals saw 15 hopefuls compete across a series of challenges, presenting their looks, moodboards and models to a judging panel comprising Jayson Gray, Paula Crocock, Richard Ashforth, Peter Burkhill, Carolyn Chapman, Andy Smith and Grace Dalgleish.
The final challenge saw the semi-finalists working in teams to create and deliver a two-minute showcase in front of a live audience. The 2026 F.A.M.E. Team; Olivia-Rose Brady, Troy Boyd, Samantha Bryne and Chelsey Stone, also attended the event to share their experiences of the programme so far.

The finalists will now compete in the 2027 F.A.M.E. Team Finals, which will take place at Salon International on 4 October 2026, sponsored by K18 and Olivia Garden. The finalists will face a further series of challenges before taking to the stage to present a two-minute show demonstrating their creativity, talent and technical ability.
Commenting on the announcement, Simon Shaw, president of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, said: “The calibre of entries for the 2027 F.A.M.E. Team was phenomenal – this is the crème de la crème of the next generation.”
He added that all of the semi-finalists should be proud of their achievements, before wishing the finalists good luck ahead of the October finals.
The F.A.M.E. Team is designed to give emerging hairdressers opportunities to develop their skills and gain experience across different areas of the professional hair industry, with the successful finalists now set to embark on the programme under the leadership of Lesley Jennison.
