Launching in September 2026, the system combines ten versatile direct-dye shades with Keune’s existing professional colour portfolio and Color Brillianz Masks, creating multiple options for customising colour services and maintaining results between salon appointments.

Color Muse consists of 10 highly concentrated direct-dye shades that can be mixed into Keune’s professional colour portfolio or blended into Color Brillianz Masks for at-home colour maintenance.
The system has been developed as an alternative to using multiple traditional mix-colour systems, with the aim of giving colourists more options through fewer products.
The shades can be used for custom toning, colour enhancement, neutralising or intensifying existing shades, as well as creating more vibrant fashion colours. They can also be incorporated into take-home colour masks, extending the colourist’s expertise beyond the salon service.
For salons, the system offers a way to build more personalised colour services while keeping the colour process more streamlined.
At the heart of Color Muse is Keune’s Pure Pigment technology, which has been engineered to provide dye stability across both acidic and alkaline environments.
According to Keune, this allows the direct-dye pigments to perform consistently when used independently, mixed into permanent colour systems or incorporated into colour-depositing treatments.
The pigments are combined with a gel-cream base containing Tamarind. The formula is designed to mix easily and distribute evenly, while supporting shine and light reflection. Its texture allows the pigments to blend into professional colour formulas, giving colourists greater control over their results.
One of the key elements of Color Muse is its ability to extend colour personalisation beyond the salon.
Colourists can blend the professional pigments into a Keune Care mask to create a customised colour-maintenance treatment for individual clients. The mask is designed to help refresh and maintain each client’s shade between salon visits, helping to prolong the salon-fresh appearance of their colour.
This creates a salon-to-home colour experience, with the professional colourist continuing to play a role in how clients maintain their individual shade between appointments.
Keune positions Color Muse as part of a wider shift towards more personalised professional colour services, combining customisation and versatility within a single system.
The 10-shade palette has been selected around tonal directions relevant to modern salon colour, balancing wearable shades with more creative options. Each shade has been chosen for its versatility, ability to be intermixed and potential to extend colour possibilities beyond traditional haircolour services.
Color Muse will be available from Keune Salons and Keune.com from September 2026.
