The donation will support the charity’s work helping children regain confidence and feel more like themselves.
Published:Spectrum One Hair Extensions has donated 4,000 grams of hair extensions to Little Lady Locks, a charity providing free, bespoke wigs to children experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment and conditions such as alopecia.
The donation will support the charity’s work helping children regain confidence and feel more like themselves during what can be an extremely challenging period for them and their families.
Little Lady Locks creates high-quality wigs for children who have lost their hair, ensuring families do not have to face the additional financial burden of purchasing a wig. With no government funding, the charity relies entirely on donations and external support to continue its work.
For Spectrum One Hair Extensions founder Katy Grimshaw, the decision to support the organisation followed a visit to its headquarters, where the team saw first-hand the impact of the charity’s work.
“We were really moved by the work Little Lady Locks is doing when we visited their HQ,” says Grimshaw.
“Seeing first-hand the care, dedication and impact behind what they do really stayed with us. We felt it was incredibly important for Spectrum One to support them, and donating 4,000 grams of hair was something we were very proud to be able to do.”

Hair can play an important role in personal identity and self-confidence, making hair loss particularly difficult for children already dealing with illness or other challenging circumstances.
Through its bespoke wig service, Little Lady Locks aims to help children feel more comfortable and restore a sense of normality during a difficult time. By providing wigs free of charge, the charity also helps relieve some of the financial pressure experienced by families.
For Spectrum One Hair Extensions, the donation reflects a commitment to using its expertise and resources to make a meaningful difference within the hair industry and the wider community.
“Hair is such a huge part of identity and confidence, so knowing that our donation can contribute to something that means so much to a child and their family is incredibly special,” says Grimshaw. “Little Lady Locks is an incredible cause, and we’re honoured to be able to support the work they do.”

Spectrum One hopes the donation will raise awareness of Little Lady Locks and encourage other businesses and professionals across the hair and beauty sector to support the charity.
For salons, brands and independent professionals, supporting charitable organisations can be an opportunity to make a tangible difference to people whose lives are affected by hair loss.
Little Lady Locks welcomes donations to help fund its work. Supporters can contribute £2 per month to help provide the funds needed to make wigs for children.
As Spectrum One’s donation demonstrates, collaboration across the hair industry can help support initiatives that extend beyond professional services, making a difference to the confidence and wellbeing of children and their families.
